What Are Open Share Groups?Finally...a place where you can share what’s on your heart – without being judged. These groups are gender-specific and are designed to facilitate discussion and mutual support among its attendees. They are never ‘closed’ – new people are welcome to join at any time, and no long-range commitment to attend is required. You can choose a group where you feel the closest ‘fit’. For example, issue-specific groups may include: Substance Abuse, Codependency, or Sexual Purity. These issue-specific groups vary among CRs. If you choose to attend a particular group and later find it is not a good fit, you are free to explore the other groups available – you’re not locked into one place! For example, you may attend a Food Issues group one night but the next week choose the Codependency group. A leader and co-leader facilitate each group, and Group Guidelines are read at the beginning of every meeting to ensure, as much as possible, that the sharing time is safe and productive for everyone. Group size varies, but ideally stays between 5-12 attendees on any given night. Continue with: 12-Step Groups |
