It's Up To You!

At CR you’ll often hear the phrase, ‘Keep coming back!’ If you keep coming back, you will experience positive change and growth.

Some people walk into a recovery environment looking for someone else to magically fix them – or looking to magically fix somebody else! But CR is not designed to try to ‘fix’ problems or other people; it’s about allowing yourself to change – to grow – at your own pace and initiative. It is up to each individual; it’s up to you!

Our groups are not facilitated by licensed counselors and the groups are not designed to be a place of receiving advice or counseling. Sound refreshing? Instead, you’ll find people just like yourself who are learning tools that will help them deal with life honestly – by listening, sharing, and receiving support from others on a similar journey.

While you are responsible for the pace of your recovery, it’s important to not walk it alone. Therefore, we encourage the use of a Sponsor (who functions like your personal trainer at the gym) and Accountability Partners (who function like the friends you’d go to the gym with).

Sometimes getting to the Large Group meeting is all you have energy to do – and that’s OK! When you’re ready to dig deeper, you can enhance your recovery by visiting and then participating in an Open Share Group, getting involved in service opportunities, or joining the more intensive 12-Step Groups.
